CAIRO – 7 December 2017: Egypt will launch an investment map for project opportunities for youth, President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi said during his speech at the Africa 2017 Forum in Sharm El-Sheikh.

“Our confidence in youth appeared in providing them with the needed training and programs. Egypt provided a total value of LE 200 billion ($11.2 billion) for small and medium projects over four years,” Sisi added.

Participating in the same session, Rwandan President Paul Kagame said that Africa is famous for its natural resources; “it isn't about counting the number of human beings but rather looking at the potential they have and creating an environment for them to unleash their potential,” Kagame noted.

The Rwandan president noted that his government is creating an ecosystem that will benefit African entrepreneurs.

Ambassadors of the Young Entrepreneurship Day (YED) are leading the session titled ‘Driving African Entrepreneurship’, with the two African Presidents to discuss youth and entrepreneurship.

Participating YED ambassadors are Mohamed Azab, founder and CEO of Seha Capital in Egypt, Pauline Mujawamariya, CEO of Africa innovation Foundation in Rwanda and Tony Elumelu, chairman of Heirs and founder of the Tony Elumelu Foundation in Nigeria.
