Egyptian pound keeps inching up against dollar

CAIRO – 30 August 2017: The U.S. dollar exchange rate slightly fell against the Egyptian pound in Wednesday’s morning banking transactions.

The exchange rate of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) for the U.S. dollar recorded LE 17.62 for buying and LE 17.72 for selling, slightly down from LE 17.63 for buying and LE 17.73 for selling Tuesday.

The euro exchange rate inched up to LE 21.20 for buying and LE 17.72 for selling, compared to LE 21.06 for buying and LE 21.18 for selling in Tuesday transactions.

The GBP (British Pound) went up to LE 22.83 for buying and LE 22.96 for selling, up LE 21.01 for buying and LE 21.142 for selling in the latest banking transactions.

As for the Arab currencies, the Saudi Riyal stabilized at LE 4.699 for buying and LE 4.726 for selling, according to the CBE.

The Kuwaiti dinar recorded LE 58.49 for buying and LE 58.85 for selling and the Emirati Dirham registered LE 4.78 for selling and LE 4.826 for buying.
