CAIRO – 19 August 2017: Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Sahar Nasr inaugurated on Saturday South Sinai’s first-ever LED light bulbs factory with total investments worth of LE 32 million. The factory is envisaged to provide 25,000 job opportunities to the sons of the governorate.

During her recent visit to the South Sinai city of Al-Tur, Nasr also inspected the developments works at the “seed/fishing” port, which is aimed at serving the fishermen working at the fishing sector in Al-Tur and the adjacent areas. The first phase of the development works includes the construction of a 230 meter long sea pier at a depth of 5 meters, in addition to the construction of administrative and service buildings.

General Khaled Fouda, Governor of South Sinai, accompanied Nasr in her inspection tour to South Sinai’s first animal farm project, which has contributed to the enhancement of youth employment in the governorate.

The Minister concluded her visit by checking on the development works in the site of King Salman Abdulaziz university project, alongside number of educational institutions that are currently being built.

All the above projects are incorporated in government’s broader strategy to promote the development of South Sinai.
