EGX enters green zone Monday, market cap. gains LE73.26B

CAIRO - 29 April 2024: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Monday in the green zone, adding around LE 73.26 billion to the market capitalization amid Arab and foreign purchases.
 
The benchmark EGX30 rose 5.57 percent, or 1,371.65 points, to end at 26,011.28 points.
 
The small and mid-cap index EGX 70 increased 2.59 percent, or 148.2 points, to close at 5,862.39 points.
 
Moreover, the broader index EGX 100 hiked 3.43 percent, or 278.14 points, to 8,376.11 points.
  
Market capitalization gained around LE 73.26 billion, recording LE 1.764 trillion, compared to LE 1.691 trillion in Sunday’s session.
 
The trading volume reached 648.903 million shares, traded through 87,572 transactions, with a turnover of LE 2.76 billion.
 
Egyptian investors were net sellers at LE 111.02 million, while Arab and foreign investors were net buyers at LE 107.06 million, and LE 3.96 million, respectively.
 
T M G Holding, Orascom Construction PLC, and GB Corp were top gainers of the session at 13.73 percent, 12.82 percent, and 10.86 percent, respectively.
 
Meanwhile, Samad Misr -EGYFERT, Alexandria Spinning & Weaving (SPINALEX), and Gulf Canadian Real Estate Investment Co. were top losers of the session by 13.39 percent, 9.09 percent, and 4.97 percent, respectively.
