CAIRO - 13 December 2023: During the first ten months of 2023, the trade volume between Egypt and Brazil surged to approximately $2.4 billion, resulting in Cairo's ascent as the 14th major partner for Sao Paulo.

Notably, Brazilian exports to Cairo accounted for around $1.89 billion, whereas Egypt's exports to Brazil amounted to roughly $440 million.

The Brazilian Ambassador to Egypt, Paulino Franco, disclosed this information during a meeting convened by the regional branch of the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce in Cairo.

The meeting involved officials from the Ministries of Trade, Industry, and Agriculture of both countries, as well as a delegation of Brazilian businessmen.

Franco further emphasized that Brazil holds the distinction of being Egypt's largest trading partner in Latin America, while Egypt ranks as the fourth largest trading partner for Brazil in Africa.

To commemorate the centennial anniversary of diplomatic, social, and economic relations between Egypt and Brazil, a direct flight route connecting Cairo and Sao Paulo will be established.
