Egypt, Latvia discuss cooperation in ICT, entrepreneurship

CAIRO – 5 October 2023: Minister of Telecommunications and Information Technology Amr Talaat met Thursday with Latvian Ambassador to Egypt Andris Razans to confer over collaboration in the fields of digital capacity-building, innovation, entrepreneurship, fin-tech, and electronics design and manufacturing.

Minister Talaat noted that Egypt possessed highly-qualified calibers that Latvian firms could rely on. He also suggested that Latvian start-ups would operate at Digital Egypt Hubs, and partner up with Egyptian counterparts.

The meeting equally tackled academic cooperation in the field of cybersecurity, and drafting an MoU detailing potential joint projects. Minister Talaat also invited the ambassador to visit Egypt Information University to examine chances of collaboration with Latvian counterparts.
