CAIRO - 18 July 2017: The Ministry of Housing and Urban Communities launches a new housing project to be added to its residential projects portfolio called “Sakan Misr.” Egypt Today sheds the light on the main highlights of the project.

The project's first phase has been launched last week; the project is targeting citizens with income ranging from LE 2,500 ($139) to LE 5,000 per month and citizens who are eligible to apply for 'average-housing units' which is also a project developed by the ministry.

“Sakan Misr” three-bedroom units range in floor plans between 100 square meters and 110 square meters and will be available in New Cairo, 6 October City, Obour City, Badr City, New Damietta, New Minya.

Potential buyers are requested to provide a down payment ranging from LE 25,000 to LE 35,000 to reserve their desired homes, according to an exclusive statement by the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA), an affiliate of the ministry.

Families interested to own a unit within the project are not allowed to buy more than one unit in “Sakan Misr” and will not be accepted in case they own a home within the social housing project.
