Egyptian pound stable in Sunday transactions

CAIRO – 16 July 2017: The U.S. dollar exchange rate slightly went up against the Egyptian pound in Sunday morning’s banking transactions.

The exchange rate of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) is LE 17.86 for buying and LE 17.98 for selling, up from LE 17.84 for buying and LE 17.96 for selling in the last transactions Thursday.

Recording the highest exchange rate, the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank recorded LE 17.94 for buying and LE 18.02 for selling, up from LE 17.92 for buying and LE 17.99 for selling.
Al-Ahli Bank of Kuwait came at the second highest rank, offering an exchange rate of LE 17.92 for buying and LE 18.02 for selling.

Egypt’s biggest private sector bank Commercial International Bank (CIB) recorded LE 17.9 for buying and LE 18 for selling.

Keeping the same rate of Thursday, Banque Misr offered LE 17.84 for buying and LE 17.94 for selling, while Banque du Caire provided LE 17.85 for buying and LE 17.95 for selling.

Egypt’s biggest state-owned bank National Bank of Egypt (NBE) offered the lowest exchange rate at LE 17.82 for buying and LE 17.92 for selling.

As for the euro, it registered LE 20.37 for buying and LE 20.49 for selling, compared to LE 20.56 for buying and LE 20.44 for selling in the previous day.

The GBP (British Pound) slightly went considerably up to LW 23.11 for buying and LE 23.25 for selling, up from LE 22.99 for buying and LE 23.13 for selling.

Some Arab currencies remained steady, with the Saudi Riyal recording LE 4.76 for buying and LE 4.79 for selling. The Emirati Dirham was unchanged at LE 4.86 for selling and LE 4.89 for buying,
Meanwhile, the Kuwaiti dinar rebounded to LE 58.94 for buying and LE 59.30 for selling, up from LE 58.71 for buying and LE 59.41 for selling, in the previous day.
