CAIRO - 13 March 2022: Minister of Immigration and Egyptians' Expatriates Affairs Nabila Makram reaffirmed keenness on boosting cooperation with all State institutions to expand in digital technology usage as part of " Egypt Can with Industry " conference, set for March 27, 28.
 
In a statement issued by the Ministry Sunday, following a meeting with Tamer Hedayet, member of the Digital Economy and Technology General Division (ITFEDCOC), the minister said a number of direct meetings gathering Egyptian experts at home and abroad, along with representatives of international firms will be held during the gathering to exchange expertise in the digital technology domain will be held during the two-day event.
 
The minister also highlighted cooperation between the State's institutions to support various investments in the digital technology and IT solutions domains, the statement said.
 
The meeting took up floated mechanisms to help further incorporate digital ventures in Egyptian markets, it added.
 
For his part, Hedayet said the Egyptian market is promising as regards IT solutions' applications, according to the statement. He also stressed the Egyptian market's ability in luring giant investments in this respect, it added.
 
The sixth edition of "Egypt Can" conferences will be held under the title of "Egypt Can with Industry" on March 27 and 28, under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi in Cairo.
 
The event is organized by the Ministry of Emigration and Egyptians Expatriates' Affairs, in cooperation with the ministries of trade and industry, public business sector, and military production along with the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) and the General Authority for Investment.
 
"Egypt Can with Industry" conference is held in line with the Egyptian State’s visions and the importance attached by the political leadership to the industry file.
 
It also comes in implementation of presidential directives to boost local industry and make use of the Egyptians’ expertise in this field.
 
Eight sessions will be held as part of the conference to discuss a group of industrial areas, including industrial investment, future of industry between Egypt and Africa, artificial intelligence, future industries, auto and environment-friendly industries, medical industries and food industries.
 
It will also discuss green industry in light of Egypt's preparations to host UN Climate Change Conference 2022 (UNFCCC COP 27) in November.
