Egyptian Pound stable in Wednesday U.S. dollar transactions

CAIRO – 12 July 2017: The U.S. dollar exchange rate hiked somewhat against the Egyptian pound in Wednesday morning’s banking transactions.

The exchange rate of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) was LE 17.82 for buying and LE 17.95 for selling.

Recording the highest exchange rate, the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank and Al-Ahli Bank of Kuwait recorded LE 17.875 for buying and LE 17.975, the same rate registered since the beginning of the week.

This was followed by a rate of LE 17.96 for buying and LE 17.96 for selling, marked by the Commercial International Bank (CIB) and Misr Iran Development Bank.

The National Bank of Egypt (NBE) kept the same rate of the previous day at LE 17.92 for buying and LE 17.82 for selling.

While Banque Misr offered LE 17.84 for buying and LE 17.94 for selling, Banque du Caire provided the lowest exchange rate at LE 17.8 for buying and LE 17.9 for selling.
As for the euro, it stabilized at LE 20.34 for buying and LE 20.47 for selling.

The GBP (British Pound) went up LE 23.04 for buying and LE 23.17 for selling, from LE 22.96 for buying and LE 23.10 for selling.

Some Arab currencies remained steady, with the Saudi Riyal recording LE 4.75 for buying and LE 4.78 for selling. The Emirati Dirham was unchanged at LE 4.85 for selling and LE 4.88 for buying.

Meanwhile, the Kuwaiti dinar considerably fell to LE 58.62 for buying and LE 59.34 for selling, compared to LE 58.75 for buying and LE 59.20 for selling in the previous day.
