CAIRO – 10 July 2017: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) showed a positive performance amid high turnover on Monday, boosted by local and Arab purchases.

The benchmark index EGX 30 increased 1.06 percent to close at 13,483 points.

The small and mid-cap index EGX70 went up 0.88 percent to end at 687 points.

The broader index EGX100 also rose 0.75 percent to stand at 1,566 points.

Market capital gained LE 5 billion ($280 million), totaling LE 706.672 billion.

Local and Arab investors were net buyers with a total of LE 4 million and LE 42 million, respectively, while foreign traders sold by LE 46 million.

Total turnover grew to LE 1.6 billion from LE 683 million achieved Sunday, while trade volume reached 350 million shares.

Alexandria National Company for Financial Investment topped gainers and hiked 9.95 percent, while TransOceans Tours led the worst performers and plunged 16.7 percent.
