CAIRO – 08 June 2017: Egyptian billionaire Naguib Sawiris attacked the Qatari regime during an interview with CNN’s Richard Quest at “Quest Means Business” show aired on Wednesday, saying that regime change in Qatar would not be "bad news.”

The business tycoon called on all Arab businessmen to disinvest is the gas-rich country, because Qatari regime’s hands are “full of blood.”

“We don’t want to be supporting a country that has been infusing terrorism and supporting all terrorist organizations in our area; their hands are full of blood, with all the innocent people who died in Manchester, London and Egypt,” Sawiris told his interlocutor, explaining that Qatar is supporting terrorists in Libya, Syria and Iraq.

“This area needs to stop terrorism, these people are the center of terror in our region, and they won’t stop until they know that we are all against them,” the CEO of OTMT companies told Quest, in reply to his question that Arab countries took the decision to isolate one of the richest countries in the area “out of the blue, in a random Monday of June,” instead of resorting to negotiations.

Egypt, along with Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Yemen, Libya’s eastern-based government, Jordan and the Maldives severed diplomatic ties with Doha on Monday, over accusations to Qatar of backing terrorist groups.
