Planned Saudi-Egypt causeway project is under consideration: Saudi Transport Min

CAIRO – 27 November 2018: Saudi Minister of Transport, Nabil Al-Amoudi asserted on Monday that the planned Saudi-Egypt causeway project is under consideration.

This came during his participation on a panel discussion held on the sideline of the 22nd round of Cairo International Exhibition and Conference on Telecommunication and Information Technology (ICT 2018) kicked off on Sunday at Egypt International Exhibitions Center.

Al-Amoudi added that Egypt and Saudi Arabia are currently discussing the project.

He also stated that the kingdom is more concerned with achieving the road safety procedures and that a system was applied to monitor road violations.

A system has been implemented to monitor and track the movement of trucks throughout the Kingdom, Al-Amoudi also said.
