CAIRO - 22 November 2017: Head of the African Affairs Committee of the House of Representatives Sayed Feleifel on Tuesday urged the national press institutions to highlight the "African Egypt"

Addressing a meeting of the committee, Feleifel called on the press institutions to send reporters to the African countries, hire African journalists, and prepare fresh cadres concerned with the African files in cooperation with state agencies, concerned bodies, research centers and the Institute of African Studies.

The committee seeks to hold a conference with the participation of government officials, lawmakers, and media institutions to discuss the Egyptian media message to Africa and means to improve it.

Abdullah Hassan, the first undersecretary of the National Press Authority, said that focusing on the state's message to Africa is very important to cope with the current challenges.

He called on the state agencies to support the national press institutions in their efforts to reopen their closed bureaus in the African countries.
