CAIRO – 21 July 2017: Qatar provided Al-Qaeda with information that enabled its associates to carry out suicide attacks against Emirati forces taking part in the Arab coalition in Yemen, Emirati ambassador to Russia Omar Ghobash said on Thursday.

In his televised interview with the BBC, Ghobash revealed that the UAE obtained audio and visual documents proving Doha’s logistic assistance to Al-Qaeda. “Four suicide-bombers targeted Emirati forces in Yemen, after Qatar had informed Al-Qaeda about the Emirati forces’ location and plans,” Ghobash added.

Ghobash called on the international community to support the Arab nations that seek drying up all resources of terrorism. He manifested that some “Qataris have sent directives to elements in Yemen, Libya and Syria to carry out certain operations in these countries.”
