Egypt sees unstable, dusty weather until Wednesday

CAIRO – 22 March 2021: Egypt is currently experiencing a wave of unstable weather, with skies blanketed with dust and an increase in temperature is witnessed across the country.

Egypt’s official forecast agency warned of the weather during the coming days especially for drivers who take high ways with expected rain and fogs in the early mornings.

The General Traffic Authority stressed drivers should abide by the determined speed to avoid accidents.

The authority further took all traffic measures like deploying traffic relief vehicles on the roads, and formed emergency chambers to follow up on the traffic movement.

No roads will be closed expect in case of lack of visibility due to the bad weather, the authority said.

The official forecast agency said that the country will witness light rains in some areas of the northwestern coast at intermittent periods, in addition to active winds in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the canal cities and North and Central Sinai.

By Wednesday, the weather is expected to witness a decline in temperature degrees by 4 to 5 degrees Celsius.
