Mauritanian FM: Qatar funds terrorist organizations

NOUAKCHOTT - 24 June 2017: Mauritanian Foreign Minister Ahmed Ould Teguedi said on Friday that Qatar is funding terrorism.

Mauritania has severed its relations with Qatar because Doha is funding organizations which are known for threatening Nouakchott's security, the minister said in press statements.

However, he rejected to name these organizations.

Meanwhile, Teguedi downplayed the losses that were caused by Mauritania's decision to cut diplomatic ties with the oil-rich country.
