CAIRO April 27 ( MENA) - Minister of Environment Yasmine Fouad discussed, during a video conference meeting Monday, with FAO Representative in Egypt Naserdin Hag ways to face up to social and economic impacts of the novel coronavirus scourge.

In a statement issued Monday, the ministry said the meeting comes within the framework of the ministry and the international organization's efforts, as co-chairmen of an environment and sustainability group that works under the umbrella of a UN 2018-2019 partnership agreement.

Talks took up enhancing preventive measures aimed at extending help to all individuals afflicted by the crisis, including those who lost their jobs as well as companies threatened by closure as an untoward result of the situation, the statement added.
