CAIRO- 21 June 2017: The President’s decision to increase pensions by LE 100 ($5.51) per capita will go into effect starting August, said Minister of Social Solidarity Ghada Wali at the Social Justice Committee meeting on Wednesday.

This increase in pensions is part of the Solidarity and Dignity (Takaful and Krama) Program and is designed to support families with children in high school.

Wali made the statement in a press conference held at the Cabinet following the meeting of the Social Justice Committee chaired by Prime Minister Sherif Ismail. According to Wali, the meeting reviewed the Decent Housing (Sakan Kareem) Initiative, which aims to provide sanitation services to 55,000 poor families.
