26 Brotherhood members sentenced to jail for demos in Sharkia

CAIRO – 18 June 2017: A court in the Belbis Court Complex in Al Sharkia sent 26 Muslim Brotherhood members, including a woman named Sahar M.R., to jail for 25 years on Sunday. Two other members were sent sentenced to 3 years, while one plead innocent.

The Court was headed by counselor Nassim Baiomy with the assistance of conselors Mohamed Abedl Wahab and Farid Naem.

The South Zagazig prosecution sent 29 Muslim Brotherhood members, who report to Abu Hammad police station, to court in Al Sharkia in case number 15570 in 2015. They were accused of crowding and rioting, owning firearms, provoking violence, having inciting publications and organizing demonstrations against Egypt and police and army institutions
