BAGHDAD, Sept 15 (MENA) - Iraq has denied reports circulating on social media websites on using its territories to attack Saudi oil facilities by drones.

In a statement carried by the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) on Sunday, the Iraqi government asserted its abiding by its constitutional commitments which prohibit the use of its territories to target any sisterly or friendly country.

It made it clear that it will firmly deal with any attempt to violate the constitution.

On Saturday, the Saudi Interior Ministry announced that two fires at Aramco oil facilities that had been attacked by Houthi drones were controlled. The targeted areas included one of the world's largest oil processing installations in Saudi Arabia and a major oil field, forcing a halt of about half of the supplies from the world's largest exporter of oil.
