CAIRO, Aug 7 (MENA) - Head of the Egyptian Trade Representation Office in Tokyo Hossam Negm said on Wednesday that Egypt and Japan are holding talks to lift a Japanese ban on Egyptian citrus fruits.

He added that the trade representation office in Tokyo is exerting efforts with agricultural authorities in the two countries to end a Japanese ban on other Egyptian products such as grapes and pomegranate.

A committee that was formed of experts from the two countries will hold its first meeting in Tokyo later Wednesday to settle the issue, he added.
