CAIRO – 24 May 2019: Terrorist-Muslim Brotherhood supporters have published fake pictures to ignite a crisis among the Egyptian society, showing police forces beating up young teens, said to be the same students who protested for reforms at the education system last week.

Egyptian secondary school students have staged nationwide protests over technical issues during end-of-year exams that started on Sunday, breaking an ongoing national protest ban.

Thousands of students aged 15 and 16 took part in demonstrations and marches in many cities calling for reforms in the education system.

Police officers and security personnel warned the students that this protest is deemed a violation to the law.

An officer was seen at a video that went viral warning a group of teens who were protesting that they should not endanger their future and drag themselves into trouble by organizing such illegal protests. Female students were heard mocking his words.

Students said technical issues and poor internet connection stopped them accessing the tests that were presented on tablet devices. They eventually had to sit them on paper.

The protest gatherings, which reportedly took place in cities including Cairo, Suez, Gharbia and Ismailia, soon evolved into skirmishes with police.

Some footages and pictures posted on social media showed officers aggressively dispersing the protests. Immediately, Interior Minister Mahmoud Tawfik issued a statement on Wednesday vowing to investigate the incidents and punish the officers involved in assaulting students.

The minister vowed that policemen involved in the incident will be held accountable for their mistreatment of the students.

Former Muslim Brotherhood member Ibrahim Rabie affirmed that the terrorist group is relying on brainwashing and faking news in order to reach certain goals and schemes, therefore, its followers do not think through any order before executing it.

He affirmed that developing the Egyptian educational system by introducing new learning techniques is rejected by the brotherhood that always sought to spread ignorance and darkness all over the society.
