CAIRO – 4 May 2019: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi said on Saturday that Egypt backs the Libyan military Army to restore stability and security in the troubled country during his meeting with the former top lawmaker at Germany's Bundestag Volker Kauder.

Al Sisi said that Egypt supports the Libyan army in his fight against extremists and the armed militias in chaotic Libya.

The president underlined the dangerous outcomes of any unplanned foreign interference in Libya that could badly affect some inside epidemics such as terrorism, illegal immigration, and arms trafficking.

Kauder congratulated Sisi on the successful referendum on constitutional amendments, saying that Egypt can continue the development process to protect the current stability amid troubled region.

Kauder appreciated Egypt’s pivotal role in the Middle East to establish security and stability in the region and combat terrorism and extremist ideologies and thoughts.
