Sisi discusses cooperation with Burkina Faso president

CAIRO – 8 June 2017: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi met with the president of Burkina Faso, Roch Marc Christian Kabore, as part of his three-day visit to Egypt, a presidential statement said on Wednesday.

The pair discussed boosting relations between the two countries in all fields, especially the promotion of trade and economic cooperation in a way that could elevate the political relationship between the two countries.

In a press conference, Sisi tackled the importance of activating the joint committee by holding its upcoming session in Cairo as soon as possible, as it would help promote relations between the two countries.

Kabore highlighted Egypt’s support in achieving stability and integrated development in Burkina Faso. He expressed admiration for Egypt's ambitious development plan and its readiness to cooperate with Burkina Faso by attracting Egyptian investments in various fields, Sisi added.

During his visit to Egypt, Marc is expected to meet with a number of officials and public figures, including Egyptian parliament speaker Ali Abdel Aal.

The official reception was held at the presidential palace at the beginning of Kabore’s visit to Egypt.
