CAIRO, April 16 (MENA) - President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has ordered treating a prep school student at state expense, according to Health Minister Hala Zayed.
The girl has been in a coma since Saturday, when she was admitted to the Fever Hospital in Abbassiya, spokesman for the Health Ministry Dr Khaled Megahed said in a statement Tuesday.
Hanin Mohamed Abdel Aziz is suffering from weakness in the muscles of legs and arms, in addition to a sore throat and a very high fever, Megahed added.
She is at the intensive care unit and is hooked-up to a ventilator, he made it clear.
A medical check up showed that the girl also suffers from Guillain-Barre syndrome, the spokesman said.
The minister ordered early Tuesday sending the girl to the Nasser Institute Hospital, Megahed added.
