Egypt condoles with Mali over victims of terrorist attack on military base

CAIRO, March 23 (MENA) - Egypt expressed sincere condolences to Mali over the victims of a terrorist attack on a military base in the central Mopti region which left scores of people dead and wounded.

A statement released by the Foreign Ministry on Saturday expressed Egypt's solidarity with the people and government of Mali to combat terrorism and achieve stability in the Sahel region.

At least 23 Malian soldiers were killed in the attack.
