CAIRO – 8 March 2019: Celebrating the International Women’s Day, members of the Egyptian National Council for Women (NCW), in cooperation with the Ministry of Aviation, were welcoming the foreign female tourists and visitors with flowers and chocolate at the Cairo International Airport.

“We are happy as we celebrate the international women’s day in a different way; we aimed to promote our slogan Ta al-Marbota [a name of Arabic letter that stands for feminine words] among female passengers,” said head of the NCW foreign affairs committee Mona Omar.

A short film on the Egyptian women’s roles was screened in English language at the Airport’s terminals, she added.

Visiting ladies and girls, coming from different countries, extended their gratitude, and posed for pictures with the slogan of the council’s initiative to share them on social media accounts.

NCW president Maya Morsi wished a happy day for women worldwide, saying
March 8 is an opportunity to ponder the progress achieved for the women’s cause all over the world in the light of women’s current role in orchestrating their societies’ history.
