CAIRO - 3 March 2019: Egypt strongly condemned the terrorist attack that took place near a hotel in the center of the Somali capital, Mogadishu. The attack claimed the lives of 29 people and injured 80 others, Egypt’s Foreign Ministry stated on Saturday.

“Egypt expressed its sincerest condolences to the families of the victims and wished the injured a speedy recovery. It stressed that its people and government stand by the people and government of sister Somalia against terrorism,” the statement read.

The ministry highlighted Egypt’s support to rebuild Somalia and bring it security and stability.
