French economy minister arrives Cairo to prepare for Macron's visit

CAIRO - 20 January 2018: French Economy and Finance Minister Bruno Le Mair arrived Sunday Jan. 20 to prepare for the visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to Egypt later this month.

French Ambassador in Cairo Stephane Roumtier announced earlier that intensive preparations are underway with all French bodies in Egypt ahead of Marcon's looming visit.

Issues to be raised during Marcon's visit to Egypt include the economic file, regional and international issues of common interest as well as means of pumping new French investments to Egypt, according to the ambassador.

According to a press release by the French Embassy in Cairo, Le Maire will meet during his stay with Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli and the government’s ministerial group and other senior state officials for talks on fostering and diversifying bilateral economic cooperation.
