CAIRO - 2 June 2017: Egypt condemned the terrorist attack that targeted the Kenyan police forces, which claimed lives of seven police personnel, said Egyptian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ahmed Abu Zaid in a statement on Thursday.

He offered the condolences for the victims’ families and the Kenyan people, affirming that Egypt is standing with Kenya against terrorism.

Seven police personnel and other civilians were killed in road-side bomb attack carried out by Somali-Shabaab militants on Wednesday, Reuters reported.

Wednesday bombing is the latest deadly attack carried out by the militant group in Kenya; on May 24 and 25, whereby two roadside bomb attacks killed 11 police personnel.
