CAIRO – 31 May 2017: Interior Ministry witnessed a reshuffle, in the wake of Minya attack that killed 29 Christians, where 15 police chiefs were removed from their posts and re-appointed elsewhere on Tuesday.

The reshuffle included Minya security chief, where interior minister, Magdy Abdel Ghaffar removed Gen. Faisal Dewidar and appointed Gen. Mamdouh Abdel Monsef, who started a plan to arrest the perpetrator of the bloody attack.

Islamic State (IS) terrorist group claimed responsibility for the attack against Christian citizens nearby the Monastery of St. Samuel in Minya governorate, Upper Egypt, on Friday, where masked gunmen opened fire on a bus that transported Christian citizens.

The attack claimed the souls of 29 persons including children, and injured dozens others.
