Tue, Dec. 11, 2018
CAIRO, Dec 11 (MENA) - Speaker of the House of Representatives Ali Abdel Aal on Tuesday expressed confidence that the Arab Parliament will provide a real framework for inter-Arab dialogue and the defense of Arab rights.

Addressing the general session of the Parliament, he added that the Palestinian issue and fighting terrorism are on top of these rights.

He also expressed confidence that the Parliament will help push up Arab parliamentary cooperation and find out solutions to Arab problems.

The current exceptional situation through which the Arab nation is passing needs more action by the Arab Parliament for achieving the Arab aspirations, he added.

The general session of the Arab Parliament kicked off at the Arab League earlier today under its president Mashal bin Fahm al Salmi and the Speaker of the Egyptian House of Representatives.

The meeting will take up issues related to joint Arab action and means of dealing with challenges facing the Arab nation.

The participants will focus on the Palestinian issue and foreign interference in the Arab internal affairs.
