CAIRO - 22 November 2018: Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of St. Mark Diocese led a mass on Thursday in Wadi el Natrun's Monastery of Saint Pishoy to ordain 13 priests to serve in Cairo, Alexandria, Jerusalem Church, Canada and Hong Kong.

The mass was attended by a galaxy of bishops of the Holy Synod and a large number of priests.

During the mass, the pontiff pointed out to the vital role played by a priest to render the church's services successful, adding that a clergyman should not seek glory for himself selfishly.

Choosing a Copt to be a priest is not carried out randomly, he asserted, noting that the process includes several conditions and criteria as the nominee undergoes tests to ensure a good choice.
