LUXOR - 15 November 2018: Luxor Governor Mostafa Alham discussed on Thursday with French Consul General in Cairo François Pugeaut, who is currently visiting the governorate, means of future cooperation.

The governor welcomed the French diplomat, stressing that France is a friendly and supportive country to Egypt.

Alham confirmed that Luxor welcomes tourists from various nationalities who come to visit its archaeological sites and enjoy the monuments of the ancient Egyptian civilization.

For his part, the French consul expressed his pleasure for visiting Luxor, affirming that French people have a unique relationship with the Nile Valley and the ancient Egyptian civilization.

He pointed out that he is set to visit a number of the archaeological sites in the East and West banks, and will meet with the members of the French archaeological missions and the French people living in the city.

The meeting was also attended by French Honorary Consul in Luxor Marie-Christine Gerber.
