SHARM EL SHEIKH, Egypt - 2 November 2018: Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas arrived here on Friday to participate in the second edition of the World Youth Forum (WYF), at the invitation of President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi.

South Sinai Governor Khaled Fouda and Palestinian Ambassador in Cairo Diab al-Louh received the Palestinian leader upon his arrival at the airport.

The WYF is set to be held from 3 to 6 November under the auspices of President Sisi at the Red Sea resort city of Sharm El-Sheikh.

Some 5,000 young people, journalists, public figures and officials from more than 50 countries across the world are set to participate in this year's edition of the forum.

The event will focus on the themes of peace, development and creativity, as well as various topics that reflect the visions and aspirations of the world's youth.

It will also give participants the chance to exchange their experience in the different fields, including development and innovation.
