CAIRO - 21 October 2018 : Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli issued a decision Saturday to form a national committee tasked to prepare an integrated database for Egyptian living abroad headed by Minister of State for Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs Nabila Makram.

The committee includes members of the ministries of Foreign Affairs, Manpower, Planning, Follow- Communications and information technology, as well as representatives of the Central Bank of Egypt and the Administrative Control Authority.

The Prime Minister spokesperson Nader Saad stressed that the committee is responsible for preparing an integrated database on Egyptians abroad in coordination with all ministries and concerned authorities in implementation of the presidential mandates in this regard.

Saad said that the committee represents the use of the capabilities and expertise of Egyptians abroad in support of the country's sustainable development plan "Egypt Vision 2030", as well as within the framework of the State Information Infrastructure.

Saad stressed that the committee has the right to obtain all available data on Egyptians abroad from all ministries and agencies without being blocked, as well as preparing a unified digital form for the Egyptians data abroad through the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.

Saad pointed out that all data obtained from the various ministries and entities, ensure that the information required by the unified model is met to achieve the desired objectives of the Committee, as well as coordination and direct communication with all ministries and parties concerned and those who use them to carry out their work to facilitate the work of the Committee.

The resolution stipulates that the committee should take the necessary procedures to audit the data and put mechanisms for updating the integrated database in an institutional framework in accordance with the latest information security systems through the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Saad added.

Saad stated that the resolution also stipulates that the Committee shall prepare periodic reports on the results of its work, recommendations and mechanisms for implementation presented by the head of the Committee to the Prime Minister.
