Al Azhar slams Israeli crimes against peaceful Gaza protesters

CAIRO - 29 September 2018: Al Azhar strongly condemned brutal repression committed by the Israeli forces against peaceful protesters in the Gaza Strip on Friday.

The violent incidents left seven Palestinians dead most of them are children and 500 others wounded.

In a statement on Saturday, Al Azhar said that the massacre, which took place just few hours following the end of the 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, reflects Israeli disrespect to international community and its institutions.

Al Azhar reiterated full solidarity and support for the Palestinian people in their strife to defend their territories.

It wished the injured a speedy recovery, the statement indicated.
