CAIRO, 13 September 2018: Agriculture Minister Ezzeldin Abu Stait said that the Egyptian Agricultural Quarantine succeeded in opening a new market for Egyptian garlic in Indonesia.

In statements on Thursday, Abu Stait said that Egypt is exerting every effort possible to maintain the quality of its agricultural exports and tap new markets for them.

The Indonesian authorities got a comprehensive file on the methods of planting, packing and exporting garlic in Egypt, head of the central department of agricultural quarantine Ahmed el Attar said, adding that Indonesia approved the exportation process after studying that file.

Egypt exported 12.703 tons of garlic during the current season, he said
