CAIRO – 21 May 2017: Ministry of Interior has pumped about 35 thousand "Ramadan Cartons” at outlets affiliated to the ministry and started to distribute for free to citizens, stated the Minister of Interior Magdy Abdel Ghafar in a Sunday statement.

The carton contains all the necessary food commodities the citizen needs in Ramadan such as rice, sugar, tea, ghee, oil, pasta, tomato sauce, and yamish (Ramadan’s treats), according to the statement.

The minister called for reducing the burden on citizens by providing commodities at reasonable prices through the “Aman Foodstuffs” system, which provides food items and commodities to citizens at appropriate prices through outlets in various governorates nationwide.
