Egyptian army soldiers stand guard in northern Sinai - Reuters

CAIRO - 17 June 2018: Upon directives of President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi, the Armed Forces on Sunday organized a ceremony to honor the families of martyrs of police and army personnel for the third day running at Al Manara International Conference Center in the presence of a number of police and army leaders.

The ceremony aims at affirming the patriotic role of the nation's martyrs who presented great sacrifices to maintain the stability of their homeland.

Today's ceremony is a continuation of the event that was launched on the first day of Eid al-Fitr and attended by President Sisi and a galaxy of state officials to affirm that Egypt can never forget its heroes who presented their precious lives for the sake of their country.

Awqaf Minister Mohammed Mokhtar Gomaa accompanied by a number of ministers honored a number families on the second day of the ceremony which included a number of musical and entertainment shows for the kids.

Families of the martyrs and injured expressed their gratitude and appreciation for President Sisi, the army and police for their efforts to extend all aspects of care to them.
