CAIRO – 15 June 2018: Egypt’s Meteorological Authority expected a hot weather to continue across Egypt on Friday, the first day of Eid al-Fitr (a Muslim feast to celebrate breaking the fast after the end of the holy month of Ramadan). Cairo will see highs of 39°C and lows of 27°C.

Weather will be moderate in eastern coasts of the country, while hot in western coasts with a slight decline in temperatures during the night.

Clouds are low in northern Egypt. Winds are light to moderate northeasterly, active in Cairo, Upper Egypt.

The Mediterranean Sea’s wavelength will be varied between light to mild, with a one meter to 1.5 meter and northwesterly surface winds.

The Red Sea will be moderate, with a wavelength of one 1.5 to two meters and northwesterly surface winds.

Temperature Alexandria (34 day, 18 Night), Qena (42 day, 25 night), Luxor (42 day, 25 night), Aswan (43 day, 31 night)

The country is seeing a hot wave during Friday and Saturday, with the temperature to rise from 4 to 6 degrees, where a scorching weather to prevail on the eastern and western coasts of the country, and winds are active on Saturday in Northern parts of the country, according to Ahmed Abdel Aal, the head of Egypt’s Meteorological Authority.
The heat wave should break on Sunday and Monday, where temperatures to decline gradually.

Winds are mild, dusty and active in southern parts of the country, south Sinai, gulf suiz and red sea which may cause navigation disturbance there.
The Authority assured that in general the weather allows enjoying all the beaches overlooking Read and Mediterranean Seas, and Nile River, The horizontal visibility of all roads allows safe and secure travel throughout the day. Citizens are advised not to direct exposure to long periods of sunlight.
