CAIRO – 15 May 2017: Egypt condemns repeated attacks on UN forces in Central African Republic during the past few days, resulting in the death of six soldiers of the Moroccan and Cambodian forces participating in UN peacekeeping missions, according to a Foreign Ministry statement on Monday.

The statement stressed that the Egyptian government supports the Central African Republic in order to maintain security and stability in the country.

The statement noted the collaboration of elements of the Egyptian armed forces and police with the UN forces in Central African Republic, as part of Egypt's leading role in the maintenance of peace and security in the African continent.
