CAIRO - 27 May 2018: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi made a phone call to the prominent Egyptian player of Liverpool Mohamed Salah on Sunday, to check on his health and make sure that his shoulder recovery is going well.

Through a Facebook post, Sisi affirmed that Salah’s health is getting better; since he is a ‘hero’ that stronger than his injury.

“I have contacted with Egypt’s righteous son, and my son, Mohamed Salah, to check on him after the injury, and as I expected, he is a hero that stronger than the injury and enthusiastic to carry on his journey of heroism and distinction,” Sisi said on his Facebook official page on Sunday, asserting that Salah has become an Egyptian icon of pride and glory.

“I pray to Allah, from a father to his son, for his quick recovery and to protect him,” Sisi added, pointing out that Salah is now an idol to Egyptian youth and the whole world, concluding his statement with hashtag #SupportMohamedSalah.

Earlier Sunday, President Sisi extended his wishes for a quick recovery to Mo Salah, from injuries during the 2017/2018 UEFA Champions League final on Saturday.

“My sincerest wishes to the Egyptian hero, Mohamed Salah, to recover soon…I wish he returns to the pitch soon and to be always a shining Egyptian star,” President Sisi said on his official Twitter account on Sunday.

After the first 30 minutes of a football game between Liverpool and Real Madrid in Kiev in the 2017/2018 UEFA Champions League final on Saturday evening, Salah came off the pitch due to a “serious” injury in his left shoulder caused by Sergio Ramos, Real Madrid's captain.

Real Madrid defeated the Reds, 3-1 in the final game to clinch their 13th Champions League title and the third consecutive one.

In a response to his fans all over the world, Salah tweeted Sunday night saying that his health is getting better since he is a 'fighter', and that he will be in Russia in June to play in world cup as member or Egypt's national team.
