CAIRO - 30 March 2018: Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit condemned in the strongest terms on Friday an Israeli aggression against Palestinians during rallies in the Gaza Strip.

In a press release, Aboul Gheit said the Israeli occupation shoulders the legal, political and moral responsibility for such violations.

He also urged the international community to shoulder the responsibility concerning the Palestinian people. He warned that Israel's persistence in violence drags the whole region to the abyss.

Earlier, Israeli troops attacked Palestinian rallies held to mark the 42nd anniversary of the Land Day. Scores of Palestinians were killed and injured.
