CAIRO – 28 March 2018: Tour guide Passant Nur El-Din declared her divorce from Islamic preacher Moez Masoud after six months of marriage.

Nur El-Din, who married Moez on September 29, 2017, said on her Facebook account that they have recently been divorced and that it is important to continue on life, adding that she is currently focusing on introducing new and stronger content about touristic locations across Egypt.

In less than three months, Nur El-Din has become famous because of her short videos posted on social media in which she roams around Egypt’s tourist destinations, narrating their stories simply and clearly, and encouraging thousands of Egyptians and tourists to visit these places. One of her most popular videos was the story about the Sphinx’s broken nose.

“The true story is: in the 15th century, a Sufi man named Sa’im al-Dahr was upset that the local peasants were making offerings to the Sphinx in the hopes of increasing their harvest, so he destroyed the Sphinx’s nose to prove that they cannot do that,” she said in her video.
