Pope Tawadros says Library of Alex. sends enlightening message to world

CAIRO - 10 February 2018: Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Marks Diocese praised on Saturday the great enlightening message provided by Bibliotheca Alexandrina or the Library of Alexandria to the entire world.

During a visit to the library, the pope called for spreading the culture of reading, considering it the base for building any country in a proper way.

The city of Alexandria has always been a complex of civilization and cultures throughout history, he noted.

The pontiff also urged touring archaeological and Coptic sites in Egypt due to their great importance at the humanitarian level.
