RAMALLAH - 28 January 2018: The Palestinian Fatah movement announced on Sunday that a day of rage in east Jerusalem, the West Bank, Gaza Strip and other Arab and Islamic capitals will take place on Friday to affirm the identity of Al Quds as a permanent capital for Palestine.

In a statement released by Fatah on Sunday, the movement called for considering Tuesday as a day of solidarity with the Palestinian people inside the territories that have been occupied since 1948, noting that marches will be organized in all cities and the towns adjacent to the security checkpoints set up by the Israeli occupation.

Fatah also asserted its rejection of any infringement on Palestinian people's rights which are based on international legitimacy resolutions and the international law, referring to reports on cutting the funds of the UN Relief and World Agency (UNRWA).

The statement added that any attempts to change the status quo on the ground whether the settlement expansion or attempts to judaize the holy city of al Quds required an affirmation on the need for unity, ending division and removing any impediments standing in the way of Palestinian people and their right to self-determination.

The statement also asserted its backing for any political or legal action carried out by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.
