Sisi to meet with OIC Secretary General, investment delegation

CAIRO – 16 January 2018: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi will meet Tuesday with Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Yousef bin Ahmad al-Othaimeen to review the organizations’ programs and discuss bilateral relations as well as regional and international issues.

During his official visit to Cairo, Othaimeen is scheduled to participate in the inauguration of Al-Azhar’s International Conference in Support of Jerusalem on Wednesday. Moreover, he will hold a meeting with Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and Secretary-General of the Arab League Ahmed Aboul Gheit.

In collaboration with the Council of Muslim Elders, Al-Azhar organizes the International Conference in Support of Jerusalem on January 17 and 18. The conference will discuss emphasizing Jerusalem’s Arab-Islamic identity and reviewing the international responsibility towards Jerusalem.

In addition, President Sisi will meet Tuesday with an investment delegation, participating in the second round of the Egyptian Economy Day organized by EFG Hermes to assure Egypt’s keenness to promote the relations with different companies and investment institutions and enhance partnerships in different fields.

The conference will showcase investment and growth opportunities in Egypt, which is considered a growing market of interest among the international business communities because of the ongoing economic reforms and the expected merits of the Egyptian market’s performance.
