CAIRO – 10 January 2018: Egypt will be under the grip of fog for the rest of the week, despite the country lately experiencing slightly higher temperatures, Ahmed Abdelaal, chairman of the General Meteorological Authority, confirmed on Wednesday.

Low clouds will spread through the course of the coming three days, with temperatures plunging below normal levels. Fog is expected to stick around until the early hours of the morning, Abdelaal added.

He also reiterated his call to citizens to wear warm clothing and keep themselves warm at night, calling on drivers to take caution and minimize trips. Moreover, he said that the current morning temperatures are likely to persist with no further drops.
